The Department of Curriculum & Instruction at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications for a full time temporary Visiting Assistant Professor in Special Education.

Review Date:  Review of applications will begin March 1, 2013, and will continue until the position is filled.

Salary:  Commensurate with rank and experience.

Date of Appointment:  Fall 2013

Description of Responsibilities:  Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate special education courses (12 semester hour teaching load for each of fall and spring semesters of the academic year); student academic advisement, Committee assignments, and the possibility of student teaching supervision.

Required Qualifications:  MS degree in Special Education, classroom teaching experience, and commitment to promote all students' ability to succeed in a multicultural and global community. 

Preferred Qualifications:  Doctorate in Special Education.  We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in teaching in special education. In addition, a candidate's professional emphasis on teaching for social justice, interdisciplinary instruction, and the integration of technology in teaching and learning are highly desirable.
