The Department of Biological Sciences at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level.
Review Date: Review of applications will begin January 15, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled.
Salary: Commensurate with rank and experience.
Date of Appointment: August 2013
Description of Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach Animal Physiology and other upper division electives in area of expertise and contribute to teaching molecular and cellular foundation and research courses. Additional expectations are to initiate an extramurally-funded research program, conduct research that involves undergraduates, and participate in service to the department and the university.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. at the time of appointment. Commitment to excellence in teaching and providing meaningful learning experiences to students from diverse backgrounds is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Post-doctoral research experience, teaching experience, and grantsmanship.

Department of Biological Sciences: The Department of Biological Sciences offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in Biology and Zoology to approximately 500 majors. Campus resources include a 400+ acre field station, an NSF-funded Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Center, a Molecular Biology and Biochemistry Center, and an Environmental Research Center. We will be moving into a new science complex in the summer of 2013.
