The State University of New York at Oswego seeks an Assistant Director of Admissions. Responsibilities include the coordination of the entire transfer admissions process, with primary focus on the recruitment of new transfer students; application review and degree audits (credit evaluations); interviewing and counseling prospective students and their families; admissions presentations; fall and spring recruitment travel; occasional evening and weekend commitments.
The successful candidate will report to the Director of Admissions, developing and implementing strategies leading to the continued, successful enrollment of strong transfer classes both in the fall and spring terms. The successful candidate must be technically savvy, preparing degree audits and generating and analyzing admissions data to monitor progress, identify trends, and plan future strategies.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three or more years of prior transfer admissions or closely related higher education experience; substantial knowledge of computer and/or web applications; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
Preferred qualifications: Master's degree; familiarity with Banner software; experience working with degree audit systems (i.e. CAPP, DARS, DegreeWorks, etc.); supervisory experience.
