The Division of Extended Learning at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications for two full-time, term-appointment positions.
Review Date: Review of applications will begin December 1 and will continue until the position is filled.
Salary: $40,000-45,000, depending on experience
Date of Appointment: January 4, 2010
Description of Responsibilities: Responsible for advising students in SUNY Oswego’s evening degree and online programs (on and off campus); advising military students; evaluating transfer candidates; recruiting evening degree, online, and military students; responding to inquiries; serving as a liaison to various administrative offices; assisting with program development; and supervising test administration for programs such as CLEP and the GRE. Also expected to assist the Director of Academic Programs in planning, scheduling, and coordinating the delivery of SUNY Oswego’s Summer Sessions, WinterSession, evening degree, online, and off-campus courses.
Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree (any discipline); Experience working with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel; Evening and weekend hours plus travel to satellite locations required; commitment to working with a diverse student body.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in higher education or human resources; web and social networking skills.

Description of Division: The Division of Extended Learning coordinates the offering of a variety of courses and subjects, both credit bearing and non-credit bearing, for nontraditional and traditional students. Courses are scheduled for delivery on campus, off campus, and online – during Fall, WinterSession, Spring, and Summer Sessions. Extended Learning also coordinates the offering of "short" courses (ranging from a week's duration to several weeks) and some weekend courses. The Division offers high-quality, innovative learning opportunities to a diverse student population and is committed to helping students of all types achieve their educational goals.
