Campus Concept Committee
Meeting Notes

February 7, 2000

1. Jerry DeSantis indicated the electrical contractor wanted to begin the project on west campus early, so if you see activity in this area this is the explanation.

2. Roberta Lipsig reported they had met with the contractor for the Rich Hall/School of Business renovation on Friday. They reviewed the updated draft of the floor plans.

3. David King indicated he had talked to the President regarding Academic Affairs’ representation on the committee and she supported having Sara Varhus attend meetings that dealt with areas that impact Arts and Sciences.

4. Advanced Technology Classrooms:

1. Jerry DeSantis indicated the plans and specs are available to potential contractors. February 27, 2000 bids are due.
2. There was concern expressed regarding information flow and consensus building. Jerry DeSantis indicated he would ask Tom Simmons to schedule another meeting soon and a meeting would be scheduled to review the bids.

5. List of proposals submitted to the Campus Concept Committee:

1. Mike Flaherty volunteered to compile an updated list for the committee. [ed note: I don’t think this will travel well over e-mail due to the format so I will bring hard copy to the meeting Monday]

6. The committee decided to review the proposals submitted relating to Swetman/Poucher at the next meeting. Discussion indicated, as we consider Swetman/Poucher, we should take into consideration this building’s relative proximity to the new campus center.
