The Office of Learning Services has recently purchased SMARTHINKING’s online writing lab services for students.  SMARTHINKING will supplement our professional and peer tutoring services by providing online writing support. Students will have the opportunity to submit an essay and receive constructive feedback.  SMARTHINKING is not a homework answering or editing service.  The service employs over 800 tutors worldwide who are trained to provide high quality learning assistance to our students in developing learning and problem-solving strategies that will help them become successful writers.  This program will be piloted during the 2009-10 academic year.

You are invited to attend one of our Webinars/training presentations to learn more about SMARTHINKING’s service during the month of November.  During the presentation you will be provided with background information on SMARTHINKING and a demonstration on how students will navigate the website and services.  You will learn about the benefits of the service as well as implementation ideas for your classroom.
