Summer science research opportunities abroad for 2013 include Brazil, the Congo, Costa Rica, India and Taiwan. In addition, scholarships of $1,500 or more are available for these six- to eight-week experiences between June and August. These three- to six-credit programs will be conducted in English.
Sites will include:
- Federal University of Paraiba in Brazil
- Federal University of Alagoas in Brazil
- National Central University in Taiwan
- University of Calcutta in India
- Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India
- Universidad de Iberoamerica in Costa Rica
- University of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
Our Global Laboratory will offer experiences in fields including applied mathematics and statistics, astrophysics, atmospheric science, atomic physics, chemistry, computer science, drug development, ecology, electrical engineering, environmental science, molecular biology, nanochemistry, optics, psychology and wetlands ecology.
Application for the Brazil programs are due Dec. 1, 2012. The Taiwan program application deadline is Feb. 1, 2013. All other programs have a March 1, 2013, deadline. For more information, contact us at globallab@oswego.edu.
