Experience-Based Education offers Orientation workshops weekly as well as online through Angel. Our one hour workshop introduces students to both the Internship and Career Awareness Programs and gives students an opportunity to ask questions as well as learn internship search strategies. Come in and learn about prerequisites for the programs, strategies for finding positions, and tips for making experiential learning a part of your Oswego experience.
Angel workshops can be completed at your convenience. Students who choose to participate in a workshop via Angel MUST come to the Experience-Based Education Office to complete an internship application as well as speak to a staff member about the next steps in the internship process. Use the following link and instructions at the bottom of this page to complete an internship workshop via angel: www.oswego.edu/academics/angel.
Attendance at an orientation workshop either in person or via Angel is a required part of the application process. You should attend a workshop at least one semester prior to the desired internship experience. We strongly advise students to attend a workshop at their earliest convenience in order to have the best chance of securing a placement. Internships are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applications for the internship program will only be distributed at the orientation workshops or to students who have completed the Angel workshop.
