Find An Internship

1.  Browse Laker Leads.  With a Laker Leads account you will have access to internships, full-time jobs, student employment as well as the volunteer opportunities at Oswego.  Laker Leads Search Tips, a pdf file with instructions for using Laker Leads.

2.  Like us on Facebook to receive updates on new internships and related news.

3.  Visit our Internship Links  page for additional resources and links to major companies and popular websites with internship opportunities.

4.  Use Career Shift to explore hundreds of opportunities - this is a free service provided by Career Services

5.  Sign up for the EBE listserv and receive emails announcing the newest internship opportunities.  Send an email to with the message "listserv signup" and we will add you to our Internship Listserv.

6.  Search the New York State Department of Labor Website.  For a complete list of opportunities, you can do two searches.  For the first search use the keyword:  intern - for the second search use the keyword:  internship.  If you would like to narrow your searches to a specific city, you can enter the city in the location search box.

7.  Search Google!  Google is one of the best resources when searching for an internship, use targeted search words based on geographical location, type of internship or search by company name.  For example, type in: Paid Summer Internships in Albany New York.

8.  Network with friends and family to find opportunities or companies you would like to intern with.  Once you have determined where you would like to intern, call the organization to see if they offer internships and inquire about the application procedures.
