Abstract:
The recent changes in the Arab and Muslim World had significant impacts on global political dynamics. Given the newness of the political changes in the Arab Spring, including the Egyptian revolution, there is little research that documents and explains the causes and consequences of such phenomena. This research proposes a framework that focuses on the eighteen day Egyptian revolution 2.0 to explore its roots, causes, impact of social media, and consequence variables. This research will start by looking at the background of Egypt and its revolution 2.0. Then, a focus will take place on a detailed and in-depth discussion of the perceived consequence variables of the revolution, with shedding some light on the successes, challenges, and the role of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt's
