Robin McAleese, aka "Ro Jo" or "Berta" is an Assistant Dean of Students and the FYRE Program Coordinator in Johnson Hall. Robin earned her B.A. at Oswego in Communication Studies in 1993 (Summa Cum Laude) and an M.S. in Counseling in 1995. She was born on July 14th and is originally from Utica, NY. She enjoys going to the gym, shopping, cooking, reading, decorating and gardening. Her favorite movie is “E.T”, she loves the Harry Potter Books, and her favorite show is "What Not To Wear". Her favorite apparel is pajamas. She enjoys eating mashed potatoes and drinking lemonade. Robin's family includes her husband, two grown daughters, a step-son and daughter-in-law, and three beautiful granddaughters! She also loves Joey - her cat. Her long-range goals are to direct a leadership center, be like Jay Button, to travel, and to enjoy retirement. Her favorite music is R&B, especially Motown! Robin’s favorite saying is “let’s process this”. Robin's other responsibilities on campus include being the Program Coordinator of the Sheldon Leader Program and the Presidential Scholars Program. She teaches GST 120: Leadership In Action in the fall and CPS 532: Student Development Theory and the College Environment in the spring.
