This Living and Learning Community serves as an introduction to the world of Business. 19 Students will live in Funnelle Hall while taking the same block of courses. MGT 110, Gateway to Business, introduces students to the study of business as well as helps them to transition from high school to college. ECO 101, Principles of Microeconomics, focuses on how business organizations, and individuals, deal with the economic problem of scarce resources. And, in CSC 102, Business Information System & Computing Tools, students learn to use computers as problem-solving and information-processing tools.
These three courses are integral to a student's success within the School of Business. As such, students begin to understand the relationship between creating and managing high-performing organizations, which in turn impact the domestic and global economics. CSC 102 assists in this process by teaching students how to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
