First Year Advisement
Peer Advisement

Contact information for your First Year Advisor and First Year Peer Advisor is below.  If you do not know who your First Year Advisor is log into your myOswego account and click on the registration menu.  You will find your advisor by clicking the link "Check your registration status".  Your First Year Advisor will be listed as your primary advisor.

If a Peer Advisor is not listed by your faculty advisor there are many other peer mentors on campus willing to offer guidance and support.  If you would like to speak to an upper-class student, we invite you to visit the COMPASS and meet with a COMPASS Navigator.

The COMPASS is located in 142 Campus Center and is staffed by knowledgeable, welcoming students who are eager to assist you and answer your questions. If you would like to explore different majors and career opportunities, develop your resume or learn more about your strengths and how to apply them to academics and beyond, a COMPASS Navigator can help. If you want to get more involved with volunteer activities or learn about internships, or if you are feeling homesick and want some ideas on how to get more connected, stop in and talk to a COMPASS Navigator, they are happy to assist you.

COMPASS Navigators are available Monday - Friday from 9 am – 4:30 pm (and until 7 pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays).  Visit 142 Campus Center or www.oswego.edu/compass for more information.
