Receive good advice right from the start with First Year Advisement. As soon as you enroll at SUNY Oswego, we assign a faculty member to you as your First Year Advisor. Prior to the start of the semester, you will receive the name and contact information for this valuable person.
This Faculty Advisor will be prepared to help you make decisions about your academic courses, activities, and resources. The advisor may also be working with a Peer Advisor who is a trained upper class student acting as a resource person and mentor for you.
Think of your First Year Faculty and Peer Advisors as your own personal support team, ready with the expertise and tools to help you succeed. This advisement team is eager to answer any questions you may have about Oswego.
