Health Care Reform Panel

We recently held our fall 2009 Health Care Reform Panel on Monday October 26 in the Pennfield Library. The turnout was great and a lot was learned by all.

Week Long Event- Banned Books Display in the Penfield Library

Monday, Sept. 14, 6:30 pm: Oswego's Great Debators, Campus center Auditorium (Room 118)

Tuesday, Sept. 15, 8:00pm: "Good Morning Vietnam," Campus Center (room 228)

Wednesday, Sept. 16, College Hour (12:40-1:35), "Rock the Constitution!" Academic Quad

Thursday, Sept. 17, 10:00-4:00: Constitution Challenge, Campus Center Concourse

During Constitution Week of 2009 a mini quiz was administered to approximately 143 randomly sampled SUNY Oswego students to assess how well they know their constitution and government. The results are as follows: 28% know it very well, 27% have a fair knowledge of the constitution, 12.5% do not know it well, and 5% know almost nothing about the constitution.
