War of the Worlds

Written by Howard Koch, adapted from the book by H.G. Wells

Directed by Mark Cole

Waterman Theatre, Tyler Hall

In this imaginative and compelling version of the novel by H. G. Wells a radio show is interrupted by announcements of explosions on the planet Mars. Soon an account of a full-fledged alien invasion is underway, told in horrifying detail as performers and audience experience the panic, mystery and terror of this legendary Halloween prank.

Is there an intellect out there that watches us and plans an attack? Orson Welles and writer Howard Koch pondered the question in 1938 and came up with a resounding yes!

Suggested for ages 14 and older.
