Rice Creek Ramble
Guided walk showing visitors what creatures are around, what they eat and where they live. Participants should dress for the weather and call 312-6677 the morning of the hike to check trail conditions. Program size is limited; unable to accommodate groups. An adult must accompany children. Free.

New lake-effect study to fly into heart of storms: SUNY Oswego meteorology faculty member Scott Steiger and students next winter will study lake-effect snow very up close and personal thanks to $320,000 in grant funds from the National Science Foundation and an armada of instrument-loaded vehicles, including an airplane to fly into the teeth of the storms.
