Hungary is a nation of 11 million people situated in the heart of Europe. Bordered by Austria on the west and the Ukraine on the east, Hungary’s culture is an amalgamation of Eastern and Western European influences.

SUNY-Oswego has two study abroad sites in Hungary. One is at Corvinus University of Budapest (formerly BUESPA), which is located in Budapest, the sophisticated and prosperous capital. The other is at the University of Pécs (formerly known as Janus Pannonius University), which is located in the town of Pécs, a center of art, culture, and education in the Transnadubia region of southern Hungary.
