England is a country with a unique and far-reaching impact in the world, due largely to its former status as one of the most powerful empires in history. Today England is home to over fifty million inhabitants, including millions whose ancestry is from former colonies in South Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. Its influence worldwide includes it being a center of global finance, media, and culture; the prevalence of the English language; and as a top tourist destination.

The CAPA program is located in the South Kensington district of London while Edge Hill University is located in the town of Ormskirk in the Lancashire region of northwest England.
