Shanghai Normal University (SNU), founded in 1954, has developed into a comprehensive university over the last fifty years, after beginning as a teachers college. SNU has two beautiful campuses: Xuhui and Fengxian. SNU has a student population of over 40,000 students.

The Program

This program is designed for students who are interested in pursuing courses in Chinese language and culture. Previous knowledge of Chinese is not required to participate in the program. Students with a sufficient command of Chinese may take courses in a broad area of academic disciplines in the regularly scheduled classes of SNU. A minimum of 12 credit hours must be taken each semester.
