If you hold a bachelor's degree but are not currently enrolled at Oswego, you can easily enroll in summer classes through the non-degree application and begin a new path of educational achievement or career advancement. Courses run from three to twelve weeks, allowing for the freedom to explore subjects that may not be accessible during the regular academic year or due to your own professional schedule.
Take a summer class without entering into a program
- Explore the available courses this summer.
- Complete the Non-Degree Application.
- If you are not a former Oswego student, you will need to send us a copy of your transcripts. Once your Non-Degree Application is processessed and we recieve your transcripts, you will recieve an email from us with instructions on how to register for classes.
- Register for the summer class you plan on taking. If you plan on taking an online course, instructions for using Angel (Oswego's online course tool) will be provided after you register.
A summer graduate course can pave the way for entrance into one of our graduate degree or certificate programs. We offer more than 30 graduate programs to help you move forward in your career or enhance your academic credentials for entrance into our programs.

- Browse our graduate programs and follow instructions on how to apply to that program.Complete applications are typically reviewed by faculty every month. However, each program varies in this process.
- If your not sure if your application will be reviewed in time please consider filling out a non-degree application to register for a summer course.
