Opportunities for real world experience

You will gain hands-on experience through a full-field internship, as well as an advanced practicum and consultation, with the choice to work in elementary through college school settings. As a graduate of the program, you will be eligible for provisional certification as a School Counselor in New York State.

CAS/MS tracks

SUNY Oswego's program also offers a Certificate of Advanced Study degree track for professionals who have already earned a master's degree but are interested in entering the counseling services field. Students entering the Master's program can also earn their CAS degree at the same time, making them more marketable upon graduation.
