- Library Visioning Committee. Drs. Coultrap-McQuinn
and Maina from the Library Visioning Committee posed the following five
questions to the Graduate Council:
- What will a library of 2020 look like?
- In 2020 what kind of place will the library be?
- In 2020 what values will the library represent?
- In 2020 what will the role of the librarians be or how will their role
change?
- Are there any other ideas that should be considered?
- Approval of Minutes of November 4, 2005. Bisbee
moved approval; Klatsky seconded. Minutes approved with the correction of
spelling of Juan Perdiguero’s name.
- Report of Graduate Dean.
- MAT English is “on hold” until some outside reviewers can be found.
Several people have been contacted, but they have other commitments.
- MAT Math at School of Education Faculty Council.
- Report of Council Chair.
- The Council’s “Reporting Out Procedures” for FA were presented to FA.
- Dr. Vanouse contacted Dr. Pagano about graduate programs working with the
Great Lakes Program. Drs. Vanouse and Pagano will continue
discussions.
- Old Business.
- MBA 590 Special Topics – S. Abraham presented the outline.
Suggestions for additions to the prerequisites were made. After a brief
discussion, the course outline was approved.
- HCI 530 Seminar in Contemporary Topics in HCI: Visions and Design – G.
Klatksy presented the outline. Concerns were expressed about a specific
topic course needing an individual number. After discussion, the course
was given a new number, HCI 531, and approved.
- EWA 500 The Writing Workshop- D. Vanouse presented the outline. After
a brief discussion, the outline was approved as written.

- TED 536 Introduction to Research for Technology Education
- TED 581 Instructional Materials for Technology Education (Digital
Library)
- TED 582 Engineering Concepts in Technology Education
- TED 583 Digital Multimedia for Technology Teachers
- TED 584 3D Solid Modeling and Advanced CAD for Technology Education

Due to the lack of time, new business was not addressed.
