Standardized Test Information
As an applicant for graduate degree programs you should check the Application Requirements for the program you are interested in to verify any standardized tests that may be required. Only official scores sent from the Educational Testing Services will be accepted.
GRE Graduate Record Examination, www.GRE.org and GMAT Graduate Management Aptitude Test, www.mba.com scores older than five years will not be accepted for admission review purposes for any program. TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language
Applicants whose native language is not English must submit scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum score of 560 paper-based or 220 computer-based is needed. Information on this test is available from the Educational Testing Service, Princeton, New Jersey 08540.
LAST - New York State Teacher Certification Examination (NYSTCE) www.nystce.nesinc.org
For persons seeking teacher certification, a score satisfactory to the Commissioner of Education must be attained on the NYSTCE in order to qualify for certification in the state of New York. Required for the MAT Art, MAT Chemistry, MAT Math, ORITE and MST Initial Certification.
