The meeting was called to order at 3:12 PM.
I. Approval of Agenda
The Agenda was approved unanimously.
II. FA Chair’s Report – S. Camp
S. Camp announced that the Oswego State Emeriti Faculty Association proposed a by-law amendment to include an FA seat for an emeriti. The chair referred this proposal to Personnel Policies Council.
III. Approval of Minutes
The minutes from April 5th, and April 19th, 2004 were approved unanimously. The minutes from May 3rd, 2004 were approved with the correction of J. Balagou to G. Baloglou.
IV. Reports of Councils, Committees and Task Forces
Graduate Council met May 7th, 2004 and approved the following courses:
ENG 537 Ethnicity and Cultural Difference in Literature 3
ENG 566 Literary Criticism 3
CED 540 Teaching Science and Technology: Authentic Literacy and Learning 3
CED 550 Teaching Social Studies: Authentic Literacy And Learning 3
General Education Council met and approved a list of courses (see handout of General Education Council report).
The Mission Review Steering Committee reported that the work on the Mission Summary document for Mission Review II proceeded more slowly over the summer than anticipated, but they are gathering some momentum now. The Mission Review steering committee will be meeting on October 12 to discuss a draft of the Mission Summary.
V. Unfinished Business
1. The 2005-2006 Calendar was approved with a correction to the finals dates (December 12-16, 2005).
