- Approval of Agenda
The agenda was approved unanimously.
II. Approval of Minutes
Minutes from February 16th, 2004 were approved unanimously.
III. FA Chair's Report- S. Camp
The Chair had no information to report at this time.
IV. Reports of Councils, Committees and Task Forces
Admissions and Student Services met Thursday, March 11th. They have been discussing ways to get both students and faculty more involved in the Campus community.
Academic Policies Council met Friday, March 5th and recommended the approval of the proposed changes in the following:
1. Global and International Studies Minor
2. Journalism Major and Minor
3. College Policy on Cheating and Plagiarism (the College Policy on Intellectual Integrity)
APC will meet again on Friday, April 2nd.
Undergraduate Curriculum Council met Friday, March 12th and approved the following new courses:
FRE 310 Business French
GER 140 German Castles: Customs and Culture
HIS 302 Historiography: Perspectives on Historians and Histories
POL 496 Capstone Seminar
SPA 310 Business Spanish
General Education Council developed math alternatives for students with documented math disabilities. They also approved Writing Plan for Cognitive Science and the following courses:

IV. Unfinished Business
1. Information Technology By-laws amendment Article XVIII was approved unanimously.
2. Play Therapy new certificate program was approved unanimously.
3. The College Hour proposal was split into two parts- (1) the concept of instituting the College Hour at SUNY Oswego and (2) new class times schedule with the College Hour. The first part, the concept of instituting the College Hour at SUNY Oswego was then approved 33-8. A proposal to amend the second proposal was then made stating "in the redesigned calendar there will only be as many classes per semester as it takes to reach, without rounding error, the 750 minutes required for one credit hour." The amendment failed 17-23. The second proposal was then voted on as printed in Appendix B and failed 15-26. A motion was then made to refer the concept of instituting the College Hour to a task force. That motion was amended by adding that the task force must report back to the Assembly no later than September 30th, 2004 and this amended motion was then approved. The proposal to refer the matter of the concept of instituting the College Hour at SUNY Oswego to a task force that must report back to the Assembly no later than September 30, 2004 was then approved 37-1.
