- Approval of the Agenda
The agenda was approved unanimously.
II. Approval of the Minutes for 4/24/00, 5/1/00, 9/11/00, 9/18/00, 9/25/00
The minutes for these meetings were deferred. Some minor corrections were offered (J. LeFlore was present for the 9/11 meeting).

V. Chair’s Report- D.King was unable to attend the meeting, so there was no chair’s report.
VI. Reports of FA Councils and Committees
A. Priorities and Planning Council met 10/20/00 and approved changes to the Philosophy/ Psychology major and the Writing Arts minor. They also continued discussion of the proposed bylaw changes that would affect the role of the Priorities and Planning Council. The chair will send comments and suggestions regarding the proposed FA Bylaws to the chair of the Personnel Policies Council. A schedule of topics and visitors for future meetings this year were also discussed.
- Graduate Council
appointed T. Loe as FA Reporter and D. Hill as Chair
- Academic Policies
approved on the following resolutions: the proposed change in the Music major for performance-group credits; the proposed change in the Philosophy — Psychology major; the proposal to create a Task Force for a Common Reading Program.
- Personnel Policies Council
at its last meeting discussed the memorandum from Provost Presley regarding the proposed changes in the faculty bylaws.
- Campus Concept Committee
revised an updated report on the architect’s study for a new campus signage plan to address ADA issues and to establish campus wide standards. The architects will begin conducting interviews for the Swetman-Poucher Program Study next week. Review of proposals for the new Campus Center and the 1 million dollars in supplemental capital projects for Arts and Sciences buildings is still held up in Albany with the SUNY Construction Fund.
