Upon arrival in Los Angeles, students participating in this intensive program will be able to meet, learn from, and interact with professionals from all walks of the industry. Whether on a soundstage inside a motion picture studio, in an edit suite at a state-of-the-art post-production facility, or in a television newsroom while stories are breaking, Hollywood P.O.V. will provide a unique insight into the inner workings of the industry that is not only impossible to achieve in the classroom but has also traditionally been off-limits to all but a select few.

In addition to learning first-hand how various aspects of the industry function, the producers, writers, editors, performers, journalists, and other industry experts who meet with the students will take time to share their experiences, offering students encouragement and counsel regarding making the transition from college to the workplace. These professionals who have “been there, done that” have much to offer students who are one or two semesters away from college graduation.

Also factored into Hollywood P.O.V. are activities designed to offer students opportunities to sample some of the varied and exciting culture, entertainment, cuisine, and history that make Los Angeles a world-class destination. Whether it’s spending a day at one of LA’s many theme parks, checking out the surf at Malibu Beach, attending a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, or looking for their favorite celebrity’s star along Hollywood Blvd’s Walk of Fame, the students will find Los Angeles to be an exciting, glamorous city.

This program is designed for undergraduate students with at least two years of college experience. Successful completion of the program will earn three undergraduate college credits.
