SUNY OSWEGO METRO CENTER RECEIVES AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

SYRACUSE, NY—SUNY Oswego received a Downtown Excellence Award from the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, Inc. in recognition of the college’s contribution to the Syracuse community by opening the SUNY Oswego Metro Center.

 

The Metro Center was recognized for being an innovative high-tech outlet for graduate studies, workforce training, seminars, corporate and community meetings. With a crowd of 250 people in attendance, Metro Center Director James Jerose accepted the award on behalf of the College. It was given during the annual meeting of the Downtown Committee last week.

 

The SUNY Oswego Metro Center, located at Syracuse’s Clinton Square, offers year-round credit and non-credit educational opportunities to students, professionals and organizations. New programs being offered at the Metro Center include gerontology and trauma studies graduate certificate programs, professional certificates in succession planning, customer service and supervisory skills as well as a host of other programs.
