SUNY Oswego's program in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is designed to prepare individuals to teach English as a second language to native speakers of languages other than English. The program contains a core pedagogical curriculum of 43 semester hours, including teaching experience. The required interdisciplinary concentration consists of 36 hours in linguistics, modern languages, English, psychology, and anthropology. We encourage candidates to double-major in Linguistics.
