School Building & District Leadership CAS Programs

The Educational Administration programs at Oswego lead to Certificates of Advanced Study (CAS) and initial/professional certification as a School Building Leader and/or School District Leader. The programs are designed for candidates who have master's degrees and hold permanent teacher certification.

The department also offers a non-degree Superintendent Development Program (SDP) in various locations around the state in response to a statewide need to increase the pool of high-quality potential school superintendents. The SDP consists of the same coursework as School District Leadership CAS, but is designed for those who hold permanent SAS/SDA certification.

All these programs feature a combination of integrated coursework and field experiences that provide many opportunities for candidates to demonstrate their deep knowledge of school administration, collaborative problem-solving abilities, and their commitment to providing visionary leadership for high-performing schools.
