The Lab Theatre is a 42' x 46' black box with approximately 14' clearance under a pipe grid.
An 8' high, 4' wide gallery level is located on all four walls.
In addition to work/house lights, a 6- dimmer Electro-Controls system is permanently installed on the gallery level. There is also an ETC Sensor rack with 12 available dimmers. This is controlled with a LMI 2 scene preset DMX control console.
Two 100 Amp disconnects terminated with all female cam locks are available for additional dimming equipment. The maximum supply for all lighting in the theatre is 200 Amps 3 phase.
Maximum occupancy is 138.
A Harlequin foam-backed vinyl dance floor has been installed over the existing concrete lab floor. All users must take suitable precautions to avoid damaging this dance floor. Depending on schedule, the Lab Theatre may be available as a rehearsal or warm-up space for Waterman Theatre. This space is a classroom, and generally is not available until after 4:00PM.
The Lab Theatre must be reserved through the Theatre Department by following a procedure similar to that of Waterman Theatre. Contact Theatre Department Secretary at (315) 312- 2140 to obtain the necessary forms. Reservation Procedures
