All the World is the Stage: World Dress and Costume Design

Panel members will focus on two themes: research and teaching; and design interpretation and implementation. Topics include accurate research; original research; work within or without the culture; what world dress teaches (identity, ritual, color, texture, materials, silhouette); world dress as inspiration; and reproduction vs. interpretation. Includes pedagogy, theatre, dance, hair/makeup, and museums.
