Sociology Department

The goal of Sociology is to explain social behavior and change by studying the human behavior of groups, how groups behave, and how people are influenced by the groups they belong to. Its scope ranges from the analysis of small-group behavior to the study of the development of large social systems - from the family to education, religion, government and the economy. Exceptional faculty and an up-to-date curriculum provide a solid basis in sociological thought.
