Public Justice Minor

Public Justice Minor                                       21 cr
A. Core Requirements
                           9  cr
      PBJ 101 - Introduction to Criminal Justice
      PBJ 102 - Introduction to Human Services
      PBJ 201 - Survey of American Non-Criminal Law

B. Electives                                                     12 cr
      To be selected under advisement from a list of courses approved by the core faculty from participating departments [Anthropology, Sociology, Chemistry, Political Science, Psychology, and Public Justice]. The sequence of courses will be individually tailored by the advisor in relation to each student's career orientation.

C. Cognate Requirements - None

Additionally, the following restrictions apply to the Public Justice minor:

1. To complete the Public Justice minor a student must receive a grade of C- or better in each Public Justice core course.
2. To complete the Public Justice minor a student must maintain a minimum of 2.0 cumulative GPA in the core courses.

The Public Justice minor is designed to expose students to multiple facets of the public justice system, including civil and criminal legal processes and human services. Students will augment the required core courses by drawing from a list of electives offered in a variety of departments.
