The BA program in Human Development allows students to select a program of studies in either Adulthood and Aging or Child and Family Studies. The combination of an in-depth knowledge of the principles and theories of human development as well as a stringent background in basic and applied research provides students with the skills for immediate job placement as well as the necessary background to continue their education at the graduate level.
Students who major in Human Development will design a multi-disciplinary learning agreement that provides them with information from psychology and related disciplines relevant to their particular interests. All Human Development students will also be required to complete two semesters of field placements. Majors will be accepted into the Human Development Program in their junior year following an application process.
