Physics 3/2 Engineering Program

For students who desire both a Physics and an Engineering degree, Oswego offers a 3/2 double degree program. Under this program students spend three years at Oswego working towards the Bachelor of Science in Physics before transferring to an undergraduate Engineering college. Completion of the Engineering degree usually requires two more years. Students gain the Oswego BS in Physics when they have earned appropriate transfer credit, usually at the conclusion of their first year at the Engineering college. There are a number of attractive features of this option. First transfer to any quality engineering college is possible whether or not an articulation agreement exists. Secondly, key physics courses at Oswego use engineering texts and approaches which ease the transition to the engineering college. Finally, students whose interests change can continue in the Physics BS or BA program, usually without any loss of credit or time.
