Oswego students can prepare for careers or graduate work in Physics, Applied Physics or Engineering Physics, Engineering or other allied professional areas. In doing so, students develop versatile skills in physics, applied mathematics, and computer science that a variety of employers and graduate schools find attractive. Employment opportunities remain strong for Oswego physics majors both within New York State and nationally. Capable physics students interested in graduate work have been accepted by fine graduate schools in physics, applied physics and engineering. The Physics Department, in cooperation with the College's Placement Office, provides assistance for students seeking career information and advice.
