Dr. Bertonneau (yellow pullover) & Cecilia Tafur in Montreal, at the Art Museum (Fall, 2007) An undergraduate from SUNY Oswego Dr. Bertonneau finished her MA as well as her PH.D at UCLA. After teaching at UCLA, Pepperdine University & Central Michigan University, she chose to return to her native town, Oswego.
Dr. Bertonneau brings to our program an extensive experience in the field of French studies. Besides her expertise in the French Renaissance, Dr. Bertonneau teaches high quality courses at all levels in language, literature, & French and francophone civilization. In addition to teaching, Dr. Bertonneau published articles, participated in conferences and presided numerous conference panels.
At SUNY Oswego, among other activities, she leads the French table at the International Coffee Hour, & presides over the French Honor Society. Our students of French highly appreciate her enthusiasm & dedication to teaching. In the Spring 2009 Dr. Bertonneau will teach a new course in North American Francophone Civilization & will lead a group a students to Québec and Montreal cities.
