The main focus of Information Science lies on the techniques and scientific principles directed toward the design, implementation, analysis and management of information and communication systems.
Information Science at Oswego is an interdisciplinary degree program, drawing from such diverse fields as computer technologies, human cognition, software engineering, library science. The ISC major places emphasis on the organization, representation, and manipulation of information. It is intended for students whose primary interests lie in the theory, applications, management, and communication of information.
