American Studies
Drawing on the resources of many academic departments, American Studies investigates the complex culture of the United States from a number of different perspectives. These perspectives are: its history, political institutions, literature and art -- uncovering important connections that emerge when cultural topics are discussed across disciplinary categories. With guidance from your faculty advisor, the program's degree requirements can be tailored to your interests, and culminates with a senior seminar concentrating on some aspect or period of American life.
