Arms & Sleepers is an electronic duo from Boston. American Royalty is a psych-pop trio from Brooklyn. Guitarist Gianni Paci is a recent graduate of New York University and is influenced by Buddy Holly and The Beatles. Brad Korbesmeyer's one-act play, Incident at San Bajo won the Heideman Award from Actors Theatre of Louisville. The dark comedy has been published by Samuel French, Inc., adapted into an opera by Riverside Opera Company, New York, and received over 80 productions in the U.S. and Canada. Korbesmeyer's theatrical credits include the award-winning play, Open Window (productions at Connecticut Rep, Storrs, CT; Merrimack Rep, Boston; and Stages Rep, Houston; optioned by CBS Television), A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (puppet theatre adaptation, Connecticut Rep), Piaf in Vienna, (New Jersey Rep; Riverside Theatre, Florida), and the screenplay, Peace and Quiet (optioned by Queen Maeve Productions, Los Angeles). Korbesmeyer's play, Spirits, explores the life of a modern day spiritualist and her spirit guide from the 1880s, Margaret Fox Kane, and his latest play, Twain's Last Chapter, received its inaugural reading at the Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford on November 30, 2012, as part of Twain's 187th birthday celebration. Korbesmeyer has twice been selected to attend the New Harmony Project and is a member of the Dramatist Guild.
Korbesmeyer has taught playwriting, screenwriting, and theatrical literature for the past twenty-two years at SUNY-Oswego, receiving a Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1996 and Academic Advisor of the Year in 2003. He received a bachelor of journalism from the University of Missouri and a Masters of Fine Arts in playwriting from Carnegie Mellon University. He currently serves as Associate Dean of SUNY Oswego's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
