Creative Writing Contest
The Creative Writing Awards Contest is open to current SUNY Oswego students and incorporates five different categories - fiction, nonfiction, playwriting. poetry and screenwriting. Winners are chosen by professional writers, usually outside of the SUNY Oswego community. A $100 award will be given to the best submission for each genre. The winners will be recognized at the Creative Writing Awards ceremony held each year on Quest Day.

New Voices
New Voices is a student written - student directed, 10-page play festival open to all SUNY Oswego students enrolled through the spring semester. Six plays are selected by a committee comprised of students and faculty. Winners receive staged readings during a play festival held in late March or early April.

The Ruth Lilly Poetry Contest for SUNY Oswego
The Ruth Lilly Fellowship Award for SUNY Oswego is open to all SUNY Oswego undergraduates who have taken CRW 305. Students may submit no more than a 10-page collection of poems. The winner will be chosen by a judge outside the SUNY Oswego community and will be nominated as a representative for the national Ruth Lilly Fellowship Award.
