Communication Studies at SUNY Oswego boasts an outstanding faculty who are committed to a high standard of teaching and service to the college community.  We believe in trying to build a learning-centered community where the discovery of knowledge plays an important role in every students academic career. You'll find Oswego faculty working closely with individual students and student organizations to further our central mission: fostering effective communication.

The Communication Studies faculty is comprised of individuals as diverse as the field of communication itself.  The majority of full time faculty hold Ph.Ds from major universities.  Many faculty have held supervisoring positions in broadcasting and newspaper operations or in the corporate world.
