Lanigan Studio A is a medium size television facility where we teach television production and where students can integrate field production packages with studio wrap-around segments. Studio A is a 4 camera, wide-screen digital facility utilizing SONY broadcast quality studio cameras. Production is accomplished on a Ross Synergy 2 video switcher. Graphics are provided using a dual channel Chryon Lyric system. We use a Imageserver 2000 multichannel video server for recording and playback.

Lanigan Studio B is a set up facility that allows students to practice performance and broadcast news segments. Studio B will be closed for renovation starting Spring 2006. When renovated Studio B will be a three camera, digital news studio utilizing many new technologies for news production.

Network 23 (named after Max Headroom?) is a video editing/post production facility featuring Macintosh G5 dual processing computers with Final Cut Pro Studio high-definition software. Final Cut Pro is a high-end production and post production software package for video editing. Remote location video is shot on the DV (digital video) format using SONY broadcast cameras. Special software is used for script writing and field production budgeting.
