Education:
B.A. in English, Yale University with graduate studies at Syracuse University

Area(s) of Speciality: Director of alumni and development communications at SUNY Oswego and editor of OSWEGO Alumni Magazine. She served as director of public relations and institutional communications at Cayuga Community College, with campuses in Auburn and Fulton, overseeing external communications, media relations and serving as college spokesperson.During 10 years at Syracuse University, she spent five years as an associate editor of SU Magazine and another five years as director of communications at SU's School of Information Studies. She began her communications career as a reporter with Gannett's Star-Gazette newspaper in Elmira, N.Y. Spillett earned a B.A. in English from Yale University and did graduate work at Syracuse University.
