Melissa Dodd, pictured of the communication studies faculty has received a $4,000 grant and recognition as a Paige Legacy Scholar for the 2013-14 year as a result of the work she did as a new faculty member with an Early Start grant last summer. The new grant is sponsored by the Arthur W. Paige Society, a professional association for senior public relations and corporate communications executives who seek to enrich and strengthen their profession. Dodd will examine social issues (such as gay marriage and gun control) and how they relate to consumer purchase intentions.
