Zoology Degree Programs

The Zoology degree programs provide students with the opportunity to concentrate in animal biology.  The nature of the courses introduces students to the broad field of animal science and provide a background for related advanced courses which prepare students for selected careers or postgraduate education.  A variety of elective courses, such as mammalogy, herpetology, entomology, limnology, animal ecology, and animal physiology are offered.  Independent study projects allow students to pursue research under the guidance of a faculty member.

Potential careers in zoology include teaching and research, veterinary medicine, aquatic technology, environmental technology, ecology, animal behavior, marine biology, or museum work - among the many available.
