Indie concert: Arms & Sleepers, American Royalty and Gianni Paci
Arms & Sleepers is an electronic duo from Boston. American Royalty is a psych-pop trio from Brooklyn. Guitarist Gianni Paci is a recent graduate of New York University and is influenced by Buddy Holly and The Beatles. Students interested in working in emerging digital media and choose to do so through number of options at Oswego through interdisciplinary approaches to creating a study program. In addition to undergraduate studies, students can elect to complete a graduate certificate program in integrated media.
BFA Graphic Design
This degree by its very nature is steeped in Digital Media and provides opportunity for extensive elective study within the art department. Other options include special topic courses in 4D experimental, games and participatory forms, and coding for artist. With permission, students can also seek to do elective study in studio/activity based classes offered outside the department in Theater, Music, Cinema Studies, and Technology
BFA Studio Art
For students interested in creating at the intersection of traditional and emerging art forms, this degree also provides opportunity for extensive elective study within the art department to do just that. Many traditional courses (such as printmaking, photography, painting, and design) infuse digital media within the classes. Other options include special topic courses in 4D experimental, games and participatory forms, and coding for artist. With permission, students can also seek to do elective study in studio/activity based classes offered outside the department in Theater, Music, Cinema Studies, and Technology
BA Graphic Design
As with the BFA in Graphic Design, this degree is steeped in Digital Media and provides opportunity for elective study within the art department. Because it it as much lighter in credits, it also provides for students to combine it with 2nd majors and minors outside the department.
