"Above and beyond. I'm thrilled!"

More about the Summerfame Experience

Musical Theatre

Performance students may elect to focus on acting or singing at Summerfame. Students who focus on singing will work on selections from the musical theatre repertoire in order to learn new techniques and hone skills. Classes in acting and movement along seminars in areas such as improv, neutral mask, auditioning techniques and career options will add to your knowledge base.

Classes in movement and seminars in costume add to your knowledge base. All performance students will work with a choreographer to complete the musical theatre experience.  At the end of the program, open classes will allow students to exhibit material and performances for friends and families.

Additional Experiences

Students will visit the lively and enchanting Renaissance Festival in Sterling, New York. Students will also view regional theatre performances at either the Merry-Go-Round or Hangar Theatres.

The Institute will culminate on the last day of the program with a reception for family and friends followed by open classes to observe working sessions.
